Tory Lanez has taken on a more serious role on social media, voicing his stances on social injustice and police brutality amid the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and many others.
Now, he’s speaking on his growth and setting boundaries when it comes to where he chooses to go. He wrote on his Instagram story,
I’ve reached a place in life…where its like… if i have to bring my gun to the function…I don’t need to be at the type of function anymore.

Earlier this month, Tory Lanez suggested a way to protect black businesses from looters and rioters as protests broke out across the nation. He wrote:
We should create a FLAG or SYMBOL that can be PLACED on THE STORE FRONT OF BUSINESSES(LOCAL AND CORPORATE )that SUPPORT THE PROTEST)…SO looters can know to leave those places alone. It will show if all looting is going on for the same cause , and protects supportive businesses”

He also got into a heated discussion with “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s” Shekinah Jo after she appeared to cry over a Gucci store being looted.
