As the petition for justice in Elijah McClain’s death continues to grow with over 3 million signatures, some member of the public are heartbroken and angry that he died while in police custody.
Actress, Sherrie Shepherd, is the latest celebrity asking for justice for Elijah McClain, who died 0n August 2019 during an encounter with Aurora, Colorado police.

She took to her Instagram to post a heartbreaking video noting that Elijah McClain is like her son, Jeffrey.
She captioned the video:

While filming and pushing through her tears to share her sentiments to police officers, Sherrie Shepard says,
“Why do you keep killing our children?”

Alongside Sherrie Shepard, other celebrities and public figures including Ellen Degeneres, Klay Thompson, Shaun King, and Arnold Schwarzenegger have advocated for justice for Elijah McClain.
