Despite the pandemic, a significant crowd of onlookers including the mayor of Clarksdale Chuck Espy, were in attendance Friday (July 3) afternoon to celebrate the opening and to watch Rick Ross cut a red ribbon stretched across the front door of the new restaurant. He posted a series of photos on his official Instagram celebrating the opening.

In the caption, Rick mentioned how opening a business at this time is quite difficult and he also thanked those who helped him to do so:
Opening a business is hard enough but to do it during a pandemic is a true definition of hustle.
As a BLACK ENTREPRENEUR now is the time more than ever to show courage and inspire the next generation of BLACK BUSINESS OWNERS.
