Tiffany Haddish Denies She’s “Lost Her Mind ” After Cutting Her Hair Completely Off

Comedienne Tiffany Haddish surprised fans when she chopped off all of her hair while on IG Live. Her fans didn’t know whether to be happy or concerned with the decision as the 40 year old actress suddenly decided that she was done with her dreadlocks. Watch Tiffany Haddish cut off her locks in the clip below as she jokes about if people in Eritrea, where her father is from, are watching her do the big chop.

During the process of cutting her hair, Tiffany discussed wanting to do the big chop for a while now,

“I’ve been talking about it for years, everybody [has] been trying to block it. I ain’t letting it happen no more. No more blocks.”

The comedienne is adamant that her hair will grow back and doesn’t understand the commotion surrounding the big chop,

“What y’all trippin’ off of? They acting like this s**t ain’t gonna grow back.”

During the broadcast, a fan asked Tiffany Haddish whether she had discussed cutting off her hair with “her man”, in response to the fan question, she states,

“I am not consulting with no man about nothing that’s growing out of my motherf***ing body. This is my body.”

The actress ends up finishing the hair cut and seems very happy with the end result.

While some fans were happy for Tiffany, others saw the dramatic haircut as a cry for help, even suggesting that she could probably be going through some type of mental breakdown. Tiffany hopped on Instagram to shut down the claims that she’s going through a rough patch,

“N***as said “Somebody go check on sis, something’s wrong with her. What’s wrong with her mentally? She done lost it.” Why, when a woman decides, ‘I’m going to cut my hair off because I want to see my scalp,’ she gotta have a mental problem? Nothing is wrong with my brain, guys, I’m suffering from no emotional s**t, nothing. I literally been talking about this for years, how I want to see my scalp. When we cut all my hair off imma still be fine as f**k, n***as is still gon’ try to f**k guys don’t worry. There’ll be plenty of d**k for me and it will grow back. Let’s just be honest, as a black woman — I don’t know about white women — but as a black woman, that’s a good hour to three hours of your f***ing day. Even if your hair is braided, you gotta grease your scalp, you gotta tie ’em up at night, you gotta make sure they look neat, it’s a lot of work. So, I’m taking time off!”
