Matt Barnes Gets New Ink In Memory Of Kobe & Gianna Bryant [PHOTOS]
Retired NBA player Matt Barnes is paying tribute to late icon Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant. The two, along with seven others, tragically died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif.on Jan. 26th.
Matt Barnes shared the process of getting the detailed tattoo. In the snaps, Matt Barnes’ tattoo artist Steve Butcher held up the photo that served as inspiration for the new ink.

He then showed off the tattoo, which was still in progress.

Other Lakers teammates like LeBron James and Anthony Davis got Kobe Bryant inspired ink as well by Cali-based tattoo artist Vannessa Aurelia.

Rapper The Game unveiled his face tattoo of Kobe Bryant’s jersey number and an infinity symbol above his eyebrow back in February.
Vanessa Bryant, wife of Kobe Bryant also got a tattoo to tribute her late husband. On June 10th, Vannessa Bryant shared a video of her getting inked with a message on the side of her neck down her shoulder. Vanessa Bryant captioned the video thanking the tattoo artist, Nikko Hurtado for the artwork:
“I wanted my boo boo’s @kobebryant sweet message transferred on me…@nikkohurtado came through for me. Thank you! #inked #messagetransfer #BooBoo #throwback #tattooinmyhallway”
