Dr. Dre’s Business Partner Accuses Nicole Young Of Stealing More Money From Company
The divorce drama between Dr. Dre and his estranged wife Nicole Young continues.
As previously reported, Nicole Young was accused of embezzling more than $350,000 from the Record One studio last month. The company reportedly issued a letter and accused Nicole Young of the crime. Shortly after, Larry Chatman, a man who co-founded the studios with Dr. Dre back in 2015, claimed that Nicole Young took an additional $31,457 from the account two days after she was removed from the account.
Chatman and his legal team argue that Nicole Young’s alleged actions are grand theft, and have said they’ll sue.
Her lawyer has denied the claims and told TMZ:
“This is a clear attempt to smear Nicole’s name. As people are well aware, banks do not give out money to people who are not authorized to receive it.”
During the divorce battle, Nicole Young has also accused Dr. Dre of being abusive and controlling during the 24 years they were married.
She reportedly filed a lawsuit claiming that Dr. Dre ejected her from their home back in April following an alleged “night of Andre’s alcohol-induced, brutal rage.”
Sources close to the rapper deny any abuse and said her claims are:
“the act of a desperate woman who finally realized that the iron-clad prenup she signed doesn’t win her the lottery. In their 26 years together, there has never been any hint or claim of threatened or actual physical violence and the insinuation is an insult to actual victims of domestic abuse.”
Nicole Young is also asking for $2 million a month in temporary spousal support.
