NBA Youngboy Among 16 Arrested On Drug & Firearm Charges In Louisiana
Rapper NBA Youngboy (real name Kentrell Gaulden) was allegedly arrested in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana while shooting a video, on Monday Sept. 28th.
He was booked by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office on 3 different drug charges; possession of schedule I drugs, manufacturing/distributing a schedule II drug, and manufacturing/distributing schedule IV drugs.
Reportedly, a total of 16 people were arrested on similar charges.
Here is a bystander’s view of the alleged arrest:
The rapper’s arrest comes amid, his girlfriend Yaya Mayweather making headlines for showing off her baby bump online. Many believe she is carrying NBA Youngboy‘s baby.
The rapper was released from jail last August after a shooting at Rolling Loud Miami festival in May. He and his team were outside of the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach when a gunman approached them in a black Cadillac Escalade and started shooting. Reps for NBA Youngboy said they’re convinced he was the target and that they acted in self-defense when they began shooting back. Unfortunately, his then girlfriend, Kay Marie, was injured and rushed to the hospital, and a 43-year-old man who was nearby was struck and killed when a bullet hit his car that was across the street.
He was relesaed and put on house arrest. He also had to wear a GPS ankle monitor and couldn’t perform.
