Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith Laugh Off ‘Entanglement’ Memes: He Wasn’t Crying!

A mere three months ago, social media was set ablaze following August Alsina dropping a bombshell that he and actress Jada Pinkett Smith engaged in a relationship with each other during her marriage to actor Will Smith.  It was when Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith brought themselves to her Red Table Talk show that more clarification was made.

According to Jada Pinkett Smith, she and August had an “entanglement” during the time she and her hubby were on a break.  The term “entanglement” then took on a life of its own with popular circulating memes and August Alsina himself creating a song called “Entanglement” featuring Rick Ross, all after the airing of that episode.

In one still shot of the episode, Will Smith appears to be sad and teary-eyed as he watches Jada talk, leading to even more memes. 

Now, the couple is talking about the viral content.

Will Smith said:

“People think I’m crying all the time.”

Jada Pinkett Smith added:

“…And he’s not, such a shame… He wasn’t crying!”

The Bad Boys star added,

“It was midnight.  We were shooting at midnight, ’cause we were trying to rush to go to the airport in the morning.”

Jada, on the other hand stated that

“I should’ve stuck to my first gut, which is reshoot the whole d*mn thing.”

He agreed and said:

“That’s what I said, I said reshoot it. But It played out. Everybody’s like ‘Poor Will.'”

She added,

“Gotta make it serious, not funny.  And I made it too serious.  And they thought he was f*cking sad.  Jesus.”

Joking through his laughter, Will adds,

“Nah, it’s like…they love theyself some Will.  They love theyself some Will.”

It seems like the couple has made the best of becoming temporary viral sensations.
