Floyd Mayweather Files To Become Executor Of Josie Harris’ Estate Amid Multi Million Dollar Child Support And Custody Case

As we previously reported, the cause of death of Josie Harris, who is the ex and the mother of boxer Floyd Mayweather’s three children was ruled as an accidental overdose based on an autopsy, which included a toxicology test.

Although Josie Harris, previously hit Floyd with a $20 million lawsuit before her death, Floyd Mayweather is now reportedly filing to take over Josie Harris’s estate, according to The Blast.

Josie Harris reportedly died without a will, and Floyd Mayweather’s move to become the executor of Josie Harris estate is reportedly because Floyd Mayweather feels as though Josie’s adult children haven’t made any moves to act on behalf of their mother.

In the filing, Mayweather lists himself as the father of Josie’s children, Josie also did not have a spouse.   According to the documents, Josie’s net worth at the time of her passing was $22,000, not including any property or assets.

Floyd Mayweather is using well known attorney Ron Rale, to act as a “special administrator” on the case to represent Josie Harris’ Estate in her absence in her child support case against him, to decide if the case will be dropped or not.

Floyd would also like for Ron Rale to decide whether her estate has any additional assets. Ron Rale is also reportedly familiar with the former couple’s child support and custody case.

Josie Harris previously sued Floyd Mayweather for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.  She accused the boxer of lying about her being high on drugs during a 2010 situation that got him arrested for domestic violence. Floyd Mayweather spent two months in jail as a result of the incident.

Josie Harris also claimed that Floyd Mayweather lied about her being a drug abuser and says that he viciously abused her during their relationship.

Josie Harris was tragically found unresponsive in her car earlier this year. She was 40-years-old.

Her attorney, Dan Friedlander, said in a statement,

The family is aware of the medical examiner has released the report and they are thankful for the closure. Josie will be remembered as a truly kind and giving person and loving mother. She was loved and will be missed.

Floyd Mayweather and their children grieved her passing and featured her in their Instagram profile photos shortly after it was made public.

The two dated from 1995-2000.
