Malik Beasley Pleads Guilty To Threats Of Violence

NBA player Malik Beasley’s pending divorce isn’t the only trouble he’s facing right now.

He has pleaded guilty to threats of violence in an ongoing case, his lawyers told The Athletic.

The felony and drug charges against him were tossed out.

If he gets any jail time or house arrest, he won’t have to serve more than 120 days, and his sentence will start after the 2020-2021 season is finished. Once he finishes probation, the charge will be lowered to a misdemeanor.

The charges stem from an incident earlier this year when he pulled an assault rifle on a couple and their 13-year-old daughter when they stopped outside of his house while on a Parade of Homes tour. His home was blocked off, but he allegedly walked up to the car with his rifle, knocked on the window, and told them to get off his property. He allegedly kept the gun pointed until they drove away.

Police arrived after receiving multiple calls about the rifle and searched the athlete’s home. There’s also surveillance footage of Malik Beasley grabbing the gun.

Montana Yao was charged with fifth-degree drug possession as almost two pounds of marijuana was in their home. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 29th.

Meanwhile, the now exes made headlines after Malik Beasley was seen holding hands with Larsa Pippen, reality star and the estranged wife of Scottie Pippen.

Montana Yao said she was blindsided by it all and was forced to leave their home shortly after.

She has since filed for divorce, and that hasn’t stopped Malik Beasley and Larsa Pippen from flirting on social media.
