The Weeknd’s Dramatic Plastic Surgery-Enhanced Face for ‘Save Your Tears’ Music Video Leaves Fans Stunned
The Weeknd has definitely started his New Year off with an interesting bang. On Tuesday, Jan. 5th, The Weeknd, born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, released the music video for his song Save Your Tears. It didn’t take fans long to notice that the Grammy Award-winning artist was sporting a new physical look for his video. The singer’s face is overly exaggerated to appear as if he’s had many botched facial plastic surgery procedures done. The Weeknd is almost unrecognizable as he sings and dances while wearing a red sequin blazer, black dress pants, and a black dress shirt and tie.
The Weeknd seems to be committed to convincing people that his ‘new face’ is more than just makeup and special effects. This past November he accepted an award at the American Music Awards with his face wrapped in what appeared to be surgical dressing.
The music video is currently the #1 trending video on Youtube and has more than 6 million views.
Following the release of his latest video, many people took to Twitter to share their thoughts on The Weeknd’s new look.
