Vanessa Bryant Slams Article Claiming Kobe Bryant Had Cancer & Wanted To Give His Fans CBD Products: Don’t Get Scammed!
Vanessa Bryant is shutting down an article that alleged her late husband, NBA legend Kobe Bryant, was a cancer patient and used CBD to cope.
She shared the article on Instagram Sunday, Jan. 31st, and wrote the caption,
“LIES! Don’t get SCAMMED! Kobe NEVER USED CBD…”

The article, posted Sunday, Jan. 31st, alleged that Kobe Bryant wanted to offer what was described as his favorite CBD oil to his fans before he passed. It claimed that he was going to send a free bottle to anyone who was interested and that The Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation only wanted recipients to cover the shipping fee.
It included a fake quote from the Los Angeles Lakers star that reads,
“When I got my diagnosis, I was devastated. And when you get into the Hall of Fame, there’s this pressure to never show a sad side.”
“My manager pointed me to CBD Oil, which I admit I was skeptical of. Sometimes these alternative medicines sound like a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but I was blown away by the results. I never knew something natural could have such a powerful effect.”
The article comes just a week after the one-year anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s tragic death. Kobe Bryant, his and Vanessa Bryant’s daughter Gianna Bryant, along with seven other victims died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26th, 2020. Vanessa Bryant acknowledged the day by sharing a letter she received from one of Gianna Bryant’s friends.
