Could Bobby Shmurda (real name Ackquille Jean Pollard be a free man by the end of the week?
The rapper, who has been in jail since 2014, has had several rumored release dates previously. But it looks like he’ll be officially released Tuesday, Feb 23rd, according to TMZ.
If he’s freed on Feb. 23rd, it will be 10 months before his actual sentence was up.
His mother, Leslie Pollard said once released, he plans to have a small dinner with his family before working on new music.

He will still be on parole until 2026 and will have to check in with his parole officer regularly.
In 2016, Bobby Shmurda was sentenced to 7 years in prison for conspiracy and weapons charges.
Reportedly, under the deal, Shmurda pled guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy — which carries a sentence of 1-3 years. He was also charged with 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession, which carries a sentence of 7 years. The two were allowed to run concurrently. Under the terms of the deal, Shmurda received credit for two years for time served when he was sentenced in 2016, giving him five years left in jail.
