Eazy-E’s Daughter, E.B. Wright, Says Ice Cube Is ‘Ducking & Dodging’ To Avoid Being In Documentary About Her Late Father
Eazy-E’s daughter, E.B. Wright, is calling out Ice Cube for allegedly refusing to appear in a documentary about her late father. E.B. Wright, 29, has been working on a documentary project about her famous father Eazy-E, born Eric Wright, who unfortunately passed away due to AIDS in 1995. Eazy-E is considered by many to be the ‘godfather of gangsta rap’ and was one of the founding members of the rap group N.W.A, which also featured Ice Cube, born O’Shea Jackson. During a recent interview with TooFab, E.B. Wright shared that a lot of people have shown her support for telling her dad’s true story. However, the documentary more than likely won’t have an appearance from Eazy-E’s former group member Ice Cube. She said,
“The only thing I will say honestly, is probably the only person that actually matters to this story I’m telling, who hasn’t talked on it so far, I’m just being completely honest … is Ice Cube.”
She added,
“You know, it really breaks my heart that he hasn’t spoken on this yet because I grew up with his sons, and I have a really good relationship with them.”
According to E.B. Wright, she spoke with O’Shea Jackson Jr. about his dad speaking in the documentary, and initially, it seemed that he would.
“[O’Shea Jackson Jr] actually told me that Ice Cube was willing. He said ‘He was gonna do whatever for me, and he was down.’ Since then, when we tried to book him to do the interview, he’s been ducking and dodging.”

Ice Cube stepped away from N.W.A in 1989 because of royalties disputes and had a rocking relationship with Eazy-E for some time following his exit. However, there are reports that claim the pair was able to repair their relationship prior to Eazy-E’s passing. When asked why Ice Cube doesn’t seem to be interested in appearing in the documentary E.B. Wright said,
“To be honest, I don’t know why Ice Cube wouldn’t talk about my dad with me. I don’t know because again, he’s been on many platforms large and small, you know talking about Eazy-E. So I really don’t know. I don’t have the answer. We’d have to ask him.”
