As previously reported, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ended their engagement last month. Then, earlier this week, J.Lo was spotted on vacation in Montana with another ex-fiancé, Ben Affleck. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck met on the set of 2002’s Gigli film. They got engaged later that year after a whirlwind romance, as they had only dated for a few months. Ultimately, the pair called off their engagement just four days before their wedding, and they officially broke up shortly thereafter. However, it looks like the pair may be “on” again!

In the wake of this reunion, E! News reports that Alex Rodriguez was surprised and less-than-pleased to see J.Lo move on so quickly. Sources allege:

“A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on. He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”

A-Rod was allegedly so “saddened” by the news that he reached out to Jennifer Lopez to express his disappointment. Despite this, the insider states:

“She’s not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done.”

TMZ‘s sources have provided an additional layer of context: J.Lo and Ben Affleck have actually been communicating since February. Reportedly, while filming Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic, Ben Affleck began sending Jennifer Lopez affectionate emails. The correspondence continued throughout J.Lo‘s time filming, which went on into late April. Additionally, Ben Affleck reportedly claimed he could use his words and writings to “own [J.Lo’s] heart.”

However, it’s important to note that the source claimed that the couple was not physical during this time, but the alleged emails help provide a fuller picture of the situation. J.Lo was also still officially engaged to A-Rod throughout the majority of this time period.
