Are both Kanye West and Irina Shayk back on the market?

As previously reported, rumors began circulating back in May regarding Kanye West dating Irina Shayk–a Russian supermodel. The rumors appeared to gain increasing validity after the pair was spotted together in France for the rapper’s birthday. Additionally, a PEOPLE insider revealed:

“He started pursuing her a few weeks ago. Kanye is a persuasive guy. He hung out with her in NYC before they celebrated his birthday in France.”

However, Page Six reports that–if the earlier speculation was in fact true–their alleged romance is beginning to cool down just a couple of months later. Reportedly, Irina Shayk declined Kanye West‘s invitation to Paris Fashion Week in order to avoid being dragged into additional dating rumors. An insider told the outlet:

“She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him. She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up [to Paris Fashion Week with him]. It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating.”

The source continued, taking aim at the dating rumors fueled after the model was spotted with Kanye West during his birthday:

“She went to his birthday party as a friend. There were 50 other people there. She doesn’t want to be linked with anyone right now. She is happy being single.”

Kanye West is currently in the middle of a divorce with Kim Kardashian West. She filed in February after almost seven years of marriage.
