This time around, Lamar Odom, 41, is going head to head against ex-heavyweight champ Riddick Bowe, 53.
Damon Feldman, the founder of Celebrity Boxing confirmed the event with TMZ Sports.
It’s scheduled to take place at the James L. Knight arena in Miami on Oct. 2 and will air on Fite.TV.
This will be the first time Riddick Bowe, whose career includes wins against fellow greats like Evander Holyfield, steps into the ring since scoring a victory in 2008.
It’s not clear how much Lamar Odom will make from this bout, but his melee with Aaron Carter became a topic of conversation in court as the mother of his children, Liza Morales, accused him of skipping a court appearance over child support, alleging he owes $91,000 for 13 months of missed payments.
She claimed he made $40,000 from his fight with Aaron Carter.
Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper sided with Liza Morales and said:
“If Mr. Odom is in good enough shape to participate in a boxing match, he’s certainly in good enough shape to abide by his obligations to support his children as set forth in the settlement agreement.”
“I will just offer the observation that if Mr. Odom wants to have a brand that means anything, it should be one where the person behind the brand pays to support his children and doesn’t leave his children in danger of being evicted.”
The judge granted Liza Morales a default judgment against Odom, telling her:
“If Mr. Odom received money from his celebrity match, I’m sure you’d want to get a judgement so you can take action as soon as possible.”
He later responded on social media.
