Michael B. Jordan Stars As Lead Actor In Denzel Washington’s ‘A Journal for Jordan’ [WATCH]
Fans of Michael B. Jordan and Denzel Washington‘s work will get the chance to see a film incorporating both stars!
Earlier today (Wednesday, Aug. 11th), the official trailer for A Journal for Jordan hit the internet. The film is directed by Denzel Washington, and Michael B. Jordan stars as the lead actor–a married sergeant in the Army. Actress Chanté Adams stars as his wife.
The film’s plot revolves around the true story of First Class Sergeant Charles Monroe King. While serving overseas, Charles Monroe King wrote various heartfelt letters to his infant son, Jordan. However, tragedy struck when Charles Monroe King was killed in Iraq when his son was only seven months old. Resultingly, his wife–Dana Canedy–kept Charles Monroe King‘s letters in a book for their son to keep. Dana Canedy also wrote a memoir on the situation, titled A Journal for Jordan: A Story of Love and Honor.
A Journal for Jordan is scheduled to premiere this Christmas.

The trailer for A Journal for Jordan comes just over three months following the premiere of Without Remorse. Michael B. Jordan starred as the lead actor in the film, which was based off of Tom Clancy‘s 1993 novel of the same name. Additionally, Lauren London starred alongside Michael B. Jordan in the film.
