Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson & His Fiancée Sharelle Rosado Are Expecting A Baby Girl

Congratulations are in order for Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Sharelle Rosado!

Earlier today (Monday, Aug. 16th), Sharelle Rosado–who’s engaged to Ochocinco–announced her pregnancy to the world. She shared the news on Instagram, writing:

“It’s with full hearts, a ton of joy, and love to reveal… We’re expecting! It’s been so hard keeping this a secret but I’m excited to finally share the news with all of you! We’re so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives and in our hearts. Looking forward to a future of fun, love and adventure. Thank you to @people for capturing this beautiful moment and thank you to everyone for your support!”

Before making her announcement, she revealed her pregnancy to PEOPLE. While speaking with the publication, Sharelle Rosado said she discovered her pregnancy while filming Selling Tampa, a new reality series that follows her all-female, all-Black real estate firm Allure Realty.

She stated:

“It was shocking. I think I was crying and laughing at the same time. I just can’t wait. It’s actually going by so fast. I found out I was pregnant while we were filming, so time is flying. It doesn’t even seem like it’s been that long.”

Sharelle Rosado continued:

“It’s a little hard because while we were filming, there were times when the ladies were enjoying themselves, having fun, drinking. In the blink of an eye, you just had to cut off everything because now you’re pregnant. I still feel like I’m the life of the party. But it’s just nice to give a toast with champagne. Can’t do any of that.”

This child will be Ochocinco‘s eighth and Sharelle Rosado‘s fourth. It is currently unclear when Sharelle Rosado is due.

In response to Sharelle Rosado‘s public announcement, Ochocinco quote tweeted a picture of her and playfully wrote:

“Holy s**t i just heard the news, congrats [insert various festive emojis].”

The two went public with their relationship last year. Rumors that they were engaged sparked this past January.

They have yet to confirm if they’re engaged.
