Kanye West Constructs A Replica Of His Childhood Home For Third ‘Donda’ Listening Event
Kanye West is taking Donda to Chicago’s Soldier Field, and he’s bringing his childhood home with him!
As previously reported, Kanye West is gearing up for a third Donda listening party. Unlike his prior two Atlanta-based events, the third listening party will take place in Chicago’s Soldier Field this Thursday (Aug. 26th). Additionally, Kanye West‘s manager–Abou “Bu” Thiam–confirmed the album will “100%” drop after the Chicago event.
Yesterday (Monday, Aug. 23rd), additional details about the upcoming event were revealed. A Twitter account focused on Kanye West news uploaded an image taken from within Soldier Field, captioned:
“Kanye is rebuilding his Chicago home in the stadium.”
The structure being built on the Soldier Field stage bears a resemblance to Kanye West‘s childhood home. It’s also worth noting that Kanye West recently uploaded a photo of his Chicago home to his Instagram page, possibly providing a hint about his third listening party.
Additionally, considering the Donda album is named after his late mother, Kanye West‘s decision to incorporate the house into his Chicago-based event is fitting. The rapper notably purchased the Southside Chicago residence last year for $225,000.
