Lil Baby Unknowingly Purchases A Fake Patek Watch For $400,000
Unknowingly buying fake jewelry is always a potential risk, and it looks like Lil Baby learned this the hard way!
Lil Baby (real name Dominique Armani Jones) recently debuted a brand new watch on social media. Specifically, the rapper showed off a $400,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus 40th anniversary watch. However, an Instagram page known as @FakeWatchBuster revealed yesterday (Thursday, Sept. 16th) that Lil Baby‘s new timepiece is fake.
The page shared the news with an Instagram post. The account uploaded a photo of Lil Baby‘s watch and wrote:
“@lilbaby unfortunately that’s a fake Patek Philippe Nautilus 40th Anniversary. He got scammed and most probably he paid 400k for that, he should take back his money and blast who sold that fugazi. A genuine Patek Philippe Nautilus 40th anniversary [is] worth approx 620k USD (Average market Price-Unworn condition).”

Once Lil Baby caught word that he unknowingly purchased a fake Patek, he spoke on the matter through his Instagram Story. The rapper wrote:
“@patekphilippe see this why I need to be on the list!! Aftermarket jewelers going to make me do some I shouldn’t be doing.”

Shortly thereafter, @FakeWatchBuster gave Lil Baby a small shoutout on its page. After reposting Lil Baby‘s Instagram Story, the account wrote:
“He’s a good guy, some jewelers out here scamming… lies come out sooner or later.”

The page also acknowledged that, while Lil Baby does own various genuine watches, he “just got finessed with that Patek.”
