Keke Palmer To Star In Fifth & Final Season Of Insecure

It seems with the right tweet, wishes do come true!

Keke Palmer has landed a role on Insecure. In the trailer for the fifth and final season of HBO’s Insecure, Keke Palmer has been confirmed as part of the cast.

In a new Instagram post, Keke Palmer posted her original tweet to showrunner and actress, Issa Rae which said,

“Hey, @IssaRae there’s been a mix-up. I posted about my excitement for season 5 of Insecure and now everyone thinks I’m gonna be on it. We can’t let them down, put me in to beat Condola’s a** real quick.” 

In the next slide, she posted a screenshot from the trailer with her standing with actress Christina Elmore, who plays Condola Hayes on the show.

In the caption Palmer said,

“Careful what you wish for…Lololololol…Genuinely so thankful to @issarae! I always shoot my work shots(cause I loves to werk), what’s the worst that can happen? Present your skill, you never know how it can be of service.”

Palmer also posted her original tweet on IG back in September of 2020 tagging Issa Rae, saying, 

“I just turned 27 @issarae, I’m starting to appear as an adult now. I’m ready! Or let’s just kill her a** off frfr (but continue to pay the actress because she was great!).” 

Issa Rae responded to Keke Palmer saying,

“Stand-By.”

The final season of Insecure will air on HBO on October 24th, 2021.
