50 Cent’s ‘BMF’ Series Gets Early Season 2 Renewal On Starz
BMF (Black Mafia Family) has been renewed for season two just four days after it premiered on Starz.
BMF is the latest series that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has executive produced on Starz. Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book II: Ghost are just two of his other successful shows for the network.
BMF is inspired by the real-life story of the two Flenory brothers who made it out of the tough streets of Detriot in the 1980s and created one of the most influential crime families in history.

The series debuted in the No. 1 spot on the Starz app this year, which prompted the early renewal. The President and CEO of Starz, Jeffrey Hirsch, spoke about Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson’s ability to find interesting and culturally relevant stories and help bring them to life. He said,
“Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson continues to find and cultivate stories like ‘BMF’ that are culturally relevant, bringing the network important untold stories that are incredibly diverse both in front of and behind the camera. Following such a strong debut, we’re excited to see what Curtis, Randy and the award-worthy cast deliver in the second season.”
The show stars Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. (son of the real-life Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory) with Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Ajiona Alexus, Eric Kofi Abrefa Myles Truitt, and Steve Harris. Snoop Dog and Lala Anthony also have reoccurring roles in the show.
