Odell Beckham Jr. has been using his time to get his parenting skills in order following his Super Bowl championship win as an LA Ram.

February 2022 was a memorable month for football wide receiver Odell Beckham (aka OBJ). The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver won the Superbowl on the 13th, then welcomed his first child with girlfriend Lauren Wood on the 17th.

On Wednesday (April 13), Odell Beckham, 29, shared adorable photos of him feeding his newborn baby boy Zydn. Parenting isn’t an easy responsibility, especially for first-time parents. In a recent post to Instagram, the athlete is transparent about his progress since becoming a father two months ago.

Beckham captioned the post,

“They didn’t give out no pamphlet for this shhhh… But uhhh I think I’m gettin the hang of it.” 

Beckham and girlfriend Lauren Wood became official in 2019. The pair announced their pregnancy in November 2021, welcoming their baby boy on February 17, 2022.

The wide receiver tore his ACL again during the Super Bowl game this year against the Bengals, missing out on playing the second half. Watching the remaining half from the sidelines, Beckham quickly started to feel better once the Rams took home the Lombardi Trophy. Blessings appeared back-to-back for the football star as Zydn was born four days after the Super Bowl. Beckham conveyed his appreciation in a lengthy Instagram post following the two wins back in February. In the post, he honored the game of football, his “biggest blessing,” and the mother of his child. He wrote,

“This is as real as it gets,” wrote Beckham. “This last week has been one that I truly could never forget… 2-17-22, 0605. THE biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life arrived here on earth! The words, I can’t even put together for the overwhelming emotions that ran thru me … a moment I will never forget and cherish forever. Zydn was born n at that moment I knew my life changed for the better.”
