‘We Ready’ Rapper Archie Eversole Passes Away At 37 After Being Fatally Shot By Brother [Condolences]
News recently broke that Atlanta rapper Archie Eversole, born Arthur Eversole, died earlier this month after being shot by his brother.
According to police in DeKalb County Georgia, officers responded to a shooting on March 25 in the Atlanta area. Officers reportedly took the victim, later identified as Archie Eversole, to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries on April 3. He was 37-years-old at the time of his passing.
Investigators say Archie Eversole’s brother, Alexander Kraus, 41, is responsible for murdering the MC. Alexander Kraus was arrested following the shooting and originally charged with aggravated assault, but now faces charges of murder. Alexander Kraus is currently being held at DeKalb County Jail.

Eversole was most known for his 2002 hit song ”We Ready” featuring Bubba Sparxxx, 45. The popular tune became an anthem sung by fans in sports stadiums across the world. The single was featured in multiple promotional videos by the NFL and samples Steam’s 1969 No. 1 Hot 100 hit “Na Na Hey Kiss Him Goodbye,” reaching No. 64 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in July 2002.
The anthem became an “iconic chant” for the Atlanta United soccer club. On Thursday (April 14), Atlanta United tweeted a statement in response to Eversole’s death, honoring the late Atlanta hip-hop artist with a tribute.
“We are heartbroken to hear of the tragic passing of Archie Eversole. A staple in the Atlanta hip-hop scene, Archi adopted Atlanta United before our first season and continued to be one of our club’s most fervent supporters. In addition to his decorated musical career, his voice will long live in our supporters’ minds as ‘We Ready’ billows through the speakers for kick-off at Atlanta United matches. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.”

Our love and condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Archie Eversole during this time.
