Singer Roderick ‘Pooh’ Clark Of The Original High-Five Group Passed Away [Condolences]

Prayers up for family and friends of Roderick Clark.

The 1990’s R&B singer, who was part of the original High-Five band, passed away Monday, [April 18th], at 49-years-old. Texas based singing group High-Five became a sensation in the 90’s with their #1 Billboard hit “I Like The Way”. According to reports, Roderick Clark was in his home city of Waco when he transitioned.

A few of Rodericks former band mates took to social media pages to express their grief on losing the staple band member. On the official High-Five instagram page, pictures of Roderick are shared along with the caption:

“OUR BROTHER OG RODERICK POOH CLARK #officialhifive RIH”

Current High-Five member Treston Irby posted a few throwback photos of his late friend, writing the caption:

“THIS ONE HURTS RIH POOH”

Another current High-Five singer, Marcus Sanders, shared a heartfelt message on the passing of his former band mate. Via Facebook he wrote:

“Roderick ‘Pooh’ Clark Feb 27, 1973- April 17, 2022 Rest In Peace My Brother”

Hi-Five was founded by Roderick Clark, Marcus Sanders, Tony Thompson, Russell Neal and Toriano Easley.

While a few of the former members still tour and sing together, Tony Thompson preceded Roderick in death.

According to reports, Roderick was battling pneumonia and had been hospitalized on and off for weeks prior to falling fatally ill. Reportedly, the singer had ongoing health concerns since a 1992 car crash paralyzed him from the waist down.

We continue to pray for Roderick’s loved ones during this difficult time.
