Kanye West Shares He Hasn’t Touched Cash In 4 Years

Artist/fashion designer Kanye West increases his wealth in more ways than one, to the point where he no longer carries around cash!

Kanye West (aka Ye), has increased his net worth over the years through his influential music career and prosperous business endeavors. On Thursday (May 25), footage of Kanye West at an event surfaced online of a woman with a handful of cash conversing with the artist. The 44-year-old Chicago rapper looked at the bankroll of cash in her hands with a grin and asked,

“What you want me to pose with that?”

West followed up with a calm flex and said,

“I ain’t going to lie to you. I ain’t touched cash in like four years.”

After the reveal, West shrugged his shoulders as he smiled and laughed as someone next to him responded,

“Real wealth. True wealth. I don’t even remember the texture.”

According to reports, the professional rapper’s net worth is estimated to be roughly $3.2 billion. West is considered to be one of the richest rappers in the hip-hop industry. With his music career starting off as a record producer for Roc-A-Fella to bringing in over $150 million from his tours alone, it was West’s other ventures that launched his net worth into the billions.

West was deemed a billionaire in 2020 according to Forbes for his stake in Yeezy, his urban street-wear clothing line that he founded in 2009.

As previously reported, West (founder of Yeezy), collaborated with clothing brands The Gap and Balenciaga. In 2020, West signed a 10-year partnership deal with Gap, launching “Yeezy Gap.” Luxury fashion house Balenciaga linked with “Yeezy Gap” for a 2022 global launch called “Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga.” Reportedly, the partnership could allegedly bring in close to $1 billion in sales by next year, 2023.

In addition to West’s Gap and Balenciaga deals, the billionaire businessman has a food industry collaboration that is in the works with McDonald’s to create a new design for their packaging. Earlier this week, West took to Instagram to reveal his latest business endeavor as one of the masterminds behind the franchise’s new packaging design.
