Paul Pierce Hit With $180,000 Lawsuit Over Alleged Unpaid Poker Debt
Sports personality Paul Pierce racked up some costly poker debt.
According to reports, the former basketball star is being sued by a civilian who claims to have loaned the athlete over $180,000 for poker games and never received repayment. Reportedly, the plaintiff – Stephen Carmona – hosted a poker night which Paul Pierce attended.
Subsequently, Stephen claims the ex-Celtic’s forward asked the him for a loan of $150,000, losing all but $10,000. Though allegedly promising to return the $140k in seven days, Stephen says Paul instead arrived to participate in another poker night, requesting an additional loan of $40,000. The plaintiff says that he’s asked for repayment from the retired athlete multiple times at this point but to no avail. Reportedly, Stephen is seeking $180,000 plus interest.

Paul’s new lawsuit seems to align with recent habits of the former NBA All-Star. Back in March, the sports analyst circulated headlines after a steamy video went viral. Footage showed the athlete kissing and asking a women to “pull it out” on camera. Prior to that, the Oakland native had the internet buzzing after going live at a strip club party, smoking and drinking, with people throwing poker chips at women dancing in the background. Safe to say, Paul has been living some version of his best life post-NBA career.
