Georgia Republican Senate Nominee Herschel Walker, Who Has Spoken Out Against Absentee Fathers In The Black Community, Fathered A Second Child He’s Reportedly Not In Contact With
Looks like former NFL player turned Republican senatorial candidate Herschel Walker is a part of the “fatherless home” problem he seems to hate so much.
During a 2020 interview Herschel Walker, 60, made offensive claims against the African-American community by stating that the population has a serious “fatherless home” issue. He said,
“I want to apologize to the African-American community, because the fatherless home is a major, major problem.”
He continued and praised himself for acting “like a father to some of those kids that had never had fathers.”
In a separate interview, he said that if a man has “a child with a woman, even if you have to leave that woman… you don’t leave the child.”
Well, it looks like Herschel Walker isn’t practicing what he’s preaching. Most are aware that Herschel Walker is the father of controversial TikTok star 22-year-old Christian Walker. But according to reports, despite what many may think, recently found court documents show the former New York Giants player has another child that he allegedly tried to hide.
The estranged son was born a decade ago and reportedly lives more than 1,500 miles from Herschel Walker’s Texas home. The child’s mother had to take Herschel Walker to court a year after giving birth in order to secure a declaration of paternity and child support. At this moment the name of both the woman and child are being held from the press to protect their privacy.
According to an insider, outside of sending Christmas and birthday presents to the 10-year-old, Herschel Walker has not played an active parental role in raising his second son. The child also has not met or spoken with his half-brother, Christian Walker.
Herschel Walker’s campaign manager, Scott Paradise, released a statement on his client’s beheld that said,
“Herschel had a child years ago when he wasn’t married. He’s supported the child and continues to do so. He’s proud of his children. To suggest that Herschel is ‘hiding’ the child because he hasn’t used him in his political campaign is offensive and absurd.”
