‘BMF’ Star Lil Meech Shows Love To His Jailed Father Big Meech On His Birthday
Happy Birthday is in order for Big Meech of Black Mafia Family!
Big Meech, born Demetrius Flenory, founded Black Mafia Family with his younger brother Terry Flenory (a.k.a. Southwest T) in 1985, a drug trafficking and money laundering organization that began in Southwest Detroit.
According to reports, Black Mafia Family (a.k.a. BMF) established cocaine distribution sales throughout the United States through their Los Angeles-based drug source and had direct links to Mexican drug cartels by 2000. In 2008, brothers Big Meech, 54, and Southwest T, 52, were sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of running one of the largest drug trafficking and money laundering rings in Michigan history.
On Tuesday (June 21), the son of Big Meech took to social media to show love to his incarcerated father on his birthday. Lil Meech, born Demetrius Flenory Jr., rose to fame within the last year by portraying his father in 50 Cent’s “BMF” crime series on STARZ. Lil Meech, 22, posted a series of photos of his father and captioned the post,
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAZA ZIPPO BIG BLUNT!!! LOL 20 YEARS LATER STILL THE BIGGEST… STILL THE SAME SPIRIT… NOW U GET TO COME HOME TO YOUR TV SHOW.”
As previously reported, a judge lowered Big Meech’s sentence from 360 months to 324 months. He is set to be released from prison three years early, marking his release date sometime in 2028. This comes as great news for Big Meech considering he was previously denied his request for early release four times.
According to reports, STARZ “BMF,” which tells the life story of Big Meech, will be back for a second season in 2022.
