Young Thug’s Nephew Charged With Murder After Allegedly Killing Girlfriend At East Point Home
Young Thug’s nephew is in the slammer after allegedly murdering his girlfriend after he shot her in the face.
East Point police arrested Young Thug’s nephew, Fardereen Deonta Grier, on Wednesday (June 6) after they were called to a residence outside of Atlanta. When authorities arrived, Fardereen Deonta Grier was crying and his girlfriend, Destiny Fitzpatrick, was found by the front door dead in a pool of blood. A neighbor allegedly heard arguing in the home prior to the shooting. East Point police said Fardereen Deonta Grier told them that he was Atlanta rapper Young Thug’s nephew, the son of the rapper’s oldest sister.
Grier also told the officers he was fighting off two armed intruders, but officers claim he eventually admitted to shooting Destiny Fitzpatrick in the face. Gier was arrested and charged with murder.
As previously reported, Gier’s uncle, Young Thug, 30, was arrested on (Monday) May 9 after being accused of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The 30-year-old faced additional charges after his home was raided in Buckhead, Georgia. The additional charges include; possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, sawed-off rifle, machine gun, dangerous weapon, or silencer, and other counts of gang related charges.
