Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas – 1.2 Million People Signed A Petition To Impeach Him
An online petition to impeach Associate Justice Clarence Thomas has continued to grow, now at over 1.2 million signatures.
As we reported last month, the petition was set up after Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 23 by the Supreme Court, removing a pregnant woman’s right to choose to have an abortion.

The advocacy group MoveOn organized the petition, where they said he has “made it clear” that he soon wants to overturn high court rulings that establish contraception rights and gay rights.
The petition also says that Thomas voted against a Supreme Court decision to compel the release of Donald Trump‘s records involved the January 6th insurrection. In addition, it also accused Thomas‘ wife, conservative activist Ginni Thomas of urging the White House to overturn the 2020 election results.

The petition ends with:
“Thomas’ failure to recuse himself warrants immediate investigation and heightened alarm. And it’s only the latest in a long history of conflicts of interest in the service of a right-wing agenda and mixing his powerful role with his conservative political activism.”
“He has shown he cannot be an impartial justice and is more concerned with covering up his wife’s coup attempts than the health of the Supreme Court.”
With a goal of 1.3 million, it looks like the petition goal is close to being fulfilled.
