Issa Rae Donates Money To The Family Of The Pregnant Woman Who Was Killed In Los Angeles Fiery Car Collision
Los Angeles’ very own Issa Rae is giving back to her community.
Insecure creator Issa Rae is donating money to the loved ones of the pregnant woman who lost her life along with five others in a horrifying car crash near her hometown. Issa Rae’s was raised in Inglewood, California, which is about 10 minutes from the crash site.
The family has received lots of support after the family set up a GoFundMe to raise $100,000 to help cover the funeral expenses of 23-year-old Asherey Ryan, her 11-month old son, Alonzo, and her unborn child. Issa, 37, assisted the family by chipping in $2,500.
As previously reported, on Thursday (Aug 4) Houston travel nurse Nicole Lorraine Linton ran a red light, driving at 90 mph (144 kph), crashing into vehicles in a busy intersection in Windsor Hills, California. Multiple victims were ejected from their cars and some of the cars caught on fire. Nicole Lorraine Linton was charged with six counts of murder and five counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. If convicted, Nicole Lorraine Linton, 37, could face 90 years to life behind bars.
In a news conference, District Attorney George Gascón said:
“A young family was destroyed in the blink of an eye.”
District Attorney George Gascón continued:
“While the wreckage of this fiery crash at this intersection was removed and traffic eventually resumed, there is catastrophic damage to the families and friends of those killed and injured.”
District Attorney George Gascón added:
“It is not only a tremendous loss to the families but our entire community who learned of this incredible tragedy or have watched the now viral video of the collision.”
