Megan Thee Stallion Seemingly Celebrates Almost Being Free From Her Contract W/ Record Label ‘1501 Certified Entertainment’: Having To Go To Court To Put Out My Art Has Been Stressful

It seems like the “Hotties” will be free from 1501 Entertainment soon. 

Last night, Megan Thee Stallion took to Twitter to explain the problems she’s having with dropping her highly anticipated upcoming album “Traumazine“ through her current label, 1501 Entertainment. Megan Thee Stallion said: 

“Y’all know I always have problems with dropping my music under this label,all these games and having to go to court just to put out my art has been so stressful.”

Megan Thee Stallion added:

“Thank you hotties for rocking with me through the b*llsh*t WE ALMOST OUT. LETS STAY FOCUSED AND RUN THIS LAST ONE UP”

The 27-year-old then responded to one of her supporters who said her label has caused the “messiest in rollout history.” Megan agreed:

“It’s definitely all over the place lol just being transparent.”

Megan ended the night by asking her fans to wait for her announcement about her album. Megan, born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, disclaimed:

“Last thing lol just wait for ME to announce so at least WE can be excited together. love you hotties good night.”

As previously reported, the “WAP” rapper sued her label last year for not letting her out of her contract. The lawsuit stemmed from her 2021 release Something For Thee Hotties, which was a variety of singles that contained all original production. The suit states that the Houston rapper’s label informed her two months after her album release that it didn’t meet the requirements of an “album” under her recording agreement and it didn’t satisfy her contract’s “minimum recording commitment.” Megan also alleges that she’s still owed money for the album.

1501’s CEO, Carl Crawford, wasn’t happy about the lawsuit. Carl Crawford alleged Megan hasn’t paid for shows in almost three years, and she owes his label money. The two previously went back and forth on social media insulting each other as Megan called Carl Crawford a “pill popper” and Crawford labeled Megan as an “alcoholic who f*ck*d the whole industry.”
