Gunna’s Parents Accept His BMI Award On His Behalf Due To His Incarceration
Gunna’s accomplishments are still being acknowledged while he sits behind bars.

Recently, at the BHH Awards, Gunna was awarded a BMI award at club LIV Miami. During the ceremony, Gunna’s, born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, parents accepted his award on his behalf. The host presenting the award shared:
“So this is why we do what we do. We celebrate people here in situations or whatever, he’s still a rockstar to us. We will forever stand for Gunna.”
The 29-year-old’s father accepted the award along with his mother and said:
“It’s an amazing award. We wanted to say thank you for the continuous support. We talked to him earlier today, he loves BMI and he appreciate all that y’all have done for him and continue to support him. So thanks everybody, Free Gunna, keep pushin P!”

As previously reported, on Thursday (June 7) the Atlanta rapper signed to Young Thug’s record label, YSL was denied bond after being arrested on RICO charges . Reports state that he will remain in prison until his trial which is set to take place in January 2023.
