‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Entire Cast Is Returning, Adding One New Person To Series
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 has wrapped, and fans can expect to see some familiar peach holders and one new face as season 15 begins.
LoveBScott reported that all the ladies — Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Marlo Hampton, Sheree Whitfled, Drew Sidora and Sanya Richards-Ross — will be returning for season 15 of the Bravo series. Janell Stephens, owner of the beauty company Camille Rose Naturals, has also been invited to join the ladies.
According to BET, Janell Stephens founded her business to treat the serious skin conditions that affected her children. The business venture kicked off in 2010, when the former therapist and mother of five found herself appalled by the list of substances in skin and hair care products for kids. Eleven years later, and her beauty line is said to be a household name.
While some fans were seemingly hoping for NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it doesn’t look like their wishes will be granted any time soon.
NeNe Leakes announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta in September 2020 after 10 seasons as the show’s lead and drama queen (seasons 1 through 7 and again for 7 through 10). At the time, NeNe Leakes asserted that her departure was due to unsuccessful contract negotiations, but she later launched a boycott campaign against Bravo and the show’s executive producer Andy Cohen, accusing them of ignoring alleged racism on set. Since then, NeNe has dropped her lawsuit, but Andy Cohen has reportedly made it known that he is not interested in collaborating with her once more.
Porsha Williams revealed her decision to leave RHOA after eight seasons in September 2021, however she did not provide an official explanation. She went on to star in her own spinoff, Porsha’s Family Matters, which was eventually overshadowed by her cheating scandal involving businessman Simon Guobadia.
In an Instagram post announcing her departure, she said,
“After ten life-changing, gratifying, incredible years, it is finally time to begin my next chapter. Next season, I will not be returning to the Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise. This was a difficult decision to not only make, but also come to terms with. It’s one I have put a lot of thought into and because of that, I know it’s the right one.”
She continued,
“I want to thank Bravo, Truly Original, and Andy Cohen for this opportunity, and all the show’s producers, editors, and assistants, for working tirelessly every day to create our show. I have so much love and endless gratitude for my Bravo family and supporters. You’ve made the past decade a truly special one. One where I’ve dealt with unbelievable highs and unbelievable lows, and I can honestly say I would not have made it through some of them without the unconditional love and support I have gotten from all of you.”
While she isn’t returning for the Bravo series, it was previously reported that Porsha is replacing The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Tinsley Mortimer in the third installment of Peacock’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
