‘Wakanda Forever’ Trends As Moviegoers React To New Trailer For ‘Black Panther 2,’ Fans Speculate Letitia Wright Will Take Over As Hero Post-Chadwick Boseman
“Wakanda Forever” is now trending as fans react to Marvel’s exciting new preview of the Black Panther sequel.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s new trailer has sent the internet into a frenzy. To date, the new clip has clocked well over five million views since its release this morning (Oct. 3). The popularity of the trailer should come as no surprise, mainly because the first teaser for the upcoming movie broke records when it dropped on July 27, garnering 172 million views in 24 hours.
The much-touted Black Panther follow-up reprises Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda, and Florence Kasumba as Ayo in the magical fictitious state.

Following the tragic death of lead star Chadwick Boseman, Marvel executives decided against recasting the role, citing that they’ll instead channel the circumstances into the film’s script.
Marvel President Kevin Feige said in a recent interview:
“It just felt like it was much too soon to recast. Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window. And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there’s a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan poured that into the story.”
It seems returning director and screenwriter, Ryan Coogler has pulled out all the stops to ensure fans won’t be disappointed with the absence of the beloved Chadwick Boseman.

A new hero appears to be featured in the new trailer, and fans are already speculating that Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, has taken up the mantle in a sleek new suit. The clip also highlights another female hero, Ironheart, played by newcomer Dominique Thorne. Yet another new actor, Tenoch Huerta, plays the sequel’s villain, Namor, who rules the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.
Over on Twitter, fan reactions ranged from hyped to awestruck. However, all are seemingly looking forward to the bittersweet experience on November 11 when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theatres.
