During a recent interview with DJ Scream, Quavo and Takeoff discussed where their status stands with their rap group the Migos which also includes Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus. As previously reported, back in May break up rumors sparked with the Georgia music group after Quavo and Takeoff released “Hotel Lobby” from their “Unc & Phew” project, which didn’t include Offset. Fans also noticed Offset was no longer following Quavo and Takeoff on social media. Quavo, born Quavious Keyate Marshall, addressed the rumors and said:
“I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo.”
The 31-year-old elaborated:
“We just came from a loyal family, supposed to stick together and sometimes when sh*t don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.
Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball, chimed in:
“You know we don’t know all answers. God know and we pray a lot. Whatever ain’t right and however you supposed to see it fit and you put it back together or however you do it. We pray so only time will tell. We always family and that ain’t gon change.”
Quavo continued:
“We just stand on loyalty. We stand on real deal, real deal loyalty and sometimes that sh*t gets played and this ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, no nothin’. This got something to do with the three brothers and sh*t that is what it is.”
Quavo added:
“Right now we gon’ be the duo til’ time tell.”
