According to reports, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been sued again for alleged sexual misconduct. The lawsuit was filed on Thursday (Oct. 13) by a licensed massage therapist allegeding Deshaun Watson pressured her into oral sex at The Houstonian hotel in December 2020. The massage therapist, who’s listed in the lawsuit under the pseudonym Jane Doe, is the 25th woman to file a lawsuit against Watson in civil court. The lawsuit states:
“At some point during the massage, Watson removed his towel and offered to let her `get on top.’”
The suit added:
“Plaintiff refused to have sex with Watson, however, he was able to pressure her into oral sex.”

Similar to the other lawsuits, this suit claims the 27-year-old contacted Jane Doe on Instagram. She agreed to meet him at the Texas hotel where he removed his clothes in the bathroom and came out only wearing a towel. He later pressured her into massaging his private area. The suit claims the Georgia native compensated her $300 for her services even though her service is $115 an hour for a massage. The woman is seeking damages for her claims of civil assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She alleged Watson caused her to “experience mental suffering by forcing her to engage in sexual acts against her will.” In a statement released on Thursday (Oct. 14) Anissah Nguyen, Jane Doe’s attorney said:
“Like so many others, my client spent nearly two years struggling to cope with trauma from all that he stole from her, and the daily pain that has become her reality.”
Anissah Nguyen added:
“Knowing her story will bring on the hard conversations, criticism and even victim-blaming, the strength and bravery of these other women gave my client the courage to stand up and speak out. She seeks justice not only for herself and her own healing, but for the more than 20 women who refused to be shamed into silence, and the victims who have yet to come forward.”
This is the first suit filed since the NFL suspended the quarterback for 11 games and fined him five million dollars after investigating the allegations, as previously reported. According to attorney Tony Buzbee, of the 24 lawsuits filed previously that were active until earlier this year, 23 have reached undisclosed settlement agreements. Back in August, Watson released a statement apologizing for his actions. He said:
“I’m grateful that the disciplinary process has ended and extremely appreciative of the tremendous support I have received throughout my short time with the Browns organization. I apologize once again for any pain this situation has caused. I take accountability for the decisions I made.”
He added:
“My focus going forward if on working to become the best version of myself on and off the field and supporting my teammates however possible while I’m away from the team. I’m excited about what the future holds for me in Cleveland. ”
