Flavor Flav Curses Out Spirit Airlines Employee After Missing Flight

Flavor Flav might be done with Spirit Airlines after his latest dispute with one of their employees.

Recently surfaced video footage shows Flavor Flav, real name William Drayton Jr., engaging in a heated argument with a Spirit Airlines employee at the gate inside Harry Reid International Airport. According to reports, the incident went down on Thursday night (Nov. 10) around 11:30 p.m. local time. During the video, you can hear the unnamed staff member yelling at the entertainer multiple times to “step away from the counter, now!”

Flavor Flav, 63, can be heard yelling back,

“Thank you for f*cking up my f*cking flight!”

While on the phone he adds,

“She just shut the f*cking door on me!”

The dispute between Flavor Flav and the gate agent was because he missed the flight despite allegedly being at the gate during boarding. Reportedly, the rapper was working on his laptop and chatting on the phone as the other passengers boarded the plane. Sources claim that it’s not uncommon for Flav to board his fights last to avoid fans trying to take pictures with him.

Unfortunately for the Public Enemy rapper, this time around skipping out on potential fan interactions caused him to miss his flight. Allegedly, while he was preoccupied with other tasks, the gate agent shut the jetway door. Flav then ran up to the door and tried to get the agent to reopen it for him, but they refused to do so.

However, insiders claim that at one point – seemingly before Flav approached the gate – the gate agent did reopen the door to allow other passengers onto the flight but then closed it again for good.

During their argument, things got pretty heated and the Spirit Airlines employee did threaten to call security, but, thankfully the situation didn’t escalate that far. Flav has since spoken on the matter and issued an apology to everyone but Spirit Airlines. He said,

“Spirit Airlines shut the door on me while I was in line to board. I was upset and said some harsh words to the gate agent. I apologize to those who witnessed me acting out of character. I do not apologize to Spirit Airlines or the gate agent.”

It’s unclear if Spirit Airlines has reached out to Flavor Flav over the missed flight and argument.
