Drake Takes A Big Hit With UFC Title Fight Bet, Losing $2 Million
Drake’s pockets took the biggest hit in this weekend’s UFC title Fight.
On Saturday night (Nov. 12), Drake bet $2 million on the match and lost big. In UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden, the “On One” rapper, known for his high-stakes gambling, bet cash money on Israel Adesanya to beat Alex Pereira.
For the majority of the fight, it seemed as if the odds were in his favor. Nigerian mixed-martial artist Israel Adesanya seemed to have a handle on his opponent until the 5th round. However, Alex Pereira was able to turn it around by delivering a series of powerful body blows. Israel Adesanya was nearly knocked off his feet by the pounding. The Brazilian fighter never dropped Israel, but the referee still decided to stop the fight. It was Alex Pereira’s third victory over Israel.

Despite his opponent’s clear disadvantage leading up to the fight, Drake still chose the underdog. He anticipated a win prior to the match. In a now-deleted Instagram post, he captioned his ticket with,
“been focused on the album gotta get back to stacking up.”
It seems that the Her Loss hitmaker seems to be on a roll, kind of. The Canadian rapper lost nearly $800K betting on a soccer match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
