Al Roker Still Recovering Under ‘Very Good Care’ After Hospitalization Due To Blood Clots In His Legs & Lungs
Al Roker is still in the hospital.
According to reports, on Thursday (Dec. 1) news anchor Hoda Kobt gave an update on meteorologist Al Roker’s unfortunate condition. As previously reported, on Friday (Nov. 18) Al Roker took to Instagram to announce that he’s been absent from NBC due to being admitted to the hospital because of a discovered blood clots in his legs and lungs. Hoda Kobt, shared:
“It was wonderful hosting the [Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade], but of course, we all wish that Al could have been with us.”

Hoda Kotb continued:
“But due to some complications, he is back in the hospital and he’s in very good care. He’s resting, and his doctors are keeping a close eye on him.
She added:
“Al and his family want everybody to know how grateful they are for all the love, the support and the well-wishes.”

Kobt also revealed fellow anchor Craig Melvin Facetimed Roker, who hasn’t missed a parade in 27 years, during the event and received “a big thumbs-up.” Craig Melvin said:
“We’ll see you back here soon, my friend.”
Roker briefly made it out of the hospital for Thanksgiving to spend time with his family, but had to return via ambulance.
