T.J. Holmes & Amy Robach – ‘GMA’ Producers Reportedly Searching For Potential Replacements As Couple Is Spotted On Intimate Vacation In Miami

Unemployment is no match for true love!

According to a report from RadarOnline, ABC producers are “quietly” scouting new hosts just in case ‘GMA3’ anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach end up getting the boot. News of the search comes just days after the pair was spotted on a cozy vacation together in Miami for the holidays.

Reportedly, “Good Morning America” producers are eyeing TV host Carson Daly as well as former President George W. Bush’s daughter Jenna Bush Hager for the job. An inside source reportedly stated on the matter:

“Jenna is so wholesome and charming and Carson’s broadcasting experience and pop-culture knowledge would make him a shoo-in.”

They added:

“It would be a step up for Jenna — she’s extremely ambitious — and word is Carson’s ready for a change. People think he’s underrated and underused at Today,” 

However, the report also noted that non-compete clauses may prohibit the ‘GMA’ potential hires from being able to secure the job. A couple of other names that have been rumored to potentially replace the new couple are fellow “Today Show” anchors Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie. No official names have been definite, however, as the network would have to determine which hosts could realistically be poached for the job.

As previously reported, T.J. Holmes, 45, and Amy Robach, 49, are temporarily suspended from the news program following their affair going public. ABC originally stated that as two consenting adults, neither of their employees technically violated any company policies. Still, the affair caused a wave of negative attention as both parties were still married to their spouses at the time they went public.

Despite everything though, Holmes and Robach have been enjoying each other’s company. An inside source close to the lovebirds claimed the two spent the holidays together and were photo’d at a Miami convenience store two days after Christmas. On December 30th, a photo of Holmes and Robach sharing a kiss circulated online. Speaking on their romance, the insider reportedly stated:

“They spent the holidays together and are spending all of their time together right now…They are fully in a relationship…They are not hiding anything at all because they have no reason to.”

Reportedly, Holmes and his estranged wife Marilee Fiebig filed for divorce on December 28th. Fiebig claimed she was totally blindsided by her husband’s affair with Robach. However, sources said that Holmes has been speaking about being unhappy in the marriage for some time. They share one daughter together named Sabine.

There’s no official word on the status of Robach’s marriage to actor Andrew Shue. The report does note that insiders claim the two have been separated since August. Additionally, the source reportedly said the relationship didn’t begin until after both Robach and Holmes were separated from their spouses, stating:

“This was two consenting adults who were each separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other….The relationship didn’t start until after that.”

ABC has not yet reported on whether or not Holmes and Robach will make a “GMA” return.
