Cher’s Relationship w/ AE Has ‘Helped Ease The Pain’ Of Her Mom’s Loss, Says Source

Cher’s new found love with boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards has helped her cope with grief.

According to reports, an insider shared pop-culture icon Cher is extra appreciative for her music executive boyfriend AE as she grieves. The 76-year-old singer’s mom Georgia Holt died at the age of 96 on December 10. A music industry source said,

“This new relationship has helped ease the pain of the loss.”

As previously reported, AE, 36, gifted Cher a stunning diamond ring for Christmas. While many speculated that the huge rock was an engagement ring since Cher posted a photo of it with the caption “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E,” the music industry source says it was simply a “nice and beautiful gift.”

A second insider shared,

“The ring was the perfect present to help her get through this bittersweet time.”

After meeting at Paris Fashion Week in September, Cher and AE reportedly first sparked dating rumors when they were photographed holding hands in Los Angeles on November 2. With AE, the source said,

“The age difference for Cher is a plus and not an issue. She really likes him.”

While it doesn’t seem like the two will be walking down the aisle anytime soon, the source added,

“For now, Cher is happy and enjoying the romance.”
