Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Share First Photo Of Their Baby Girl, Esti Maxine: Our Family Could Not Be Happier
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently added a new addition to their family — and they couldn’t be happier.
The model/cookbook author welcomed a baby girl, Esti Maxine Stephens, on Jan. 13 with her husband John Legend.
Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram today (Jan. 19) to introduce the world to their new addition, sharing a photo of son Miles Theodore, 4, and daughter Luna Simone, 6, cuddling their infant sister.
In her caption, she wrote,
“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier.”

She added,
“Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c-section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X.”
John Legend shared the same photo on his own Instagram account, making it known that he’s just as ecstatic. The EGOT winner said,
“On Friday, we welcomed Esti Maxine Stephens to our family, and our house is overflowing with love and joy.”
He added,
“I’m in awe of Chrissy’s strength and resilience and I’m so thrilled to see how Luna and Miles embrace their baby sister. I’m so, so grateful, but that doesn’t seem like a big enough word…”

It’s been a long time coming for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as far as baby-making goes.
As previously reported, Teigen shared on Sept. 15, 2022, that she had an abortion two years prior. The news came as a shock to some, considering she initially attributed the loss of their child to a miscarriage.
Teigen and husband John revealed in Sept. 2020 that they lost their son Jack at 20 weeks as a result of a pregnancy complication.

However, the TV personality shared that she eventually realized her miscarriage was in fact an abortion. While speaking at a conference Teigen previously explained,
“Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions. It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention.”
She went on to discuss her miscarriage, before stopping herself and noting that it was technically an abortion. She said,
“Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion. An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”
Teigen said she came to the realization after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. She explained,
“I fell silent, feeling weird that I hadn’t made sense of it that way. I told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, all the headlines said it was a miscarriage. And I became really frustrated that I didn’t, in the first place, say what it was, and I felt silly that it had taken me over a year to actually understand that we had had an abortion.”
Congratulations to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend!
