Nia Long’s 11-Year-Old Son Having ‘Really Tough Time’ Following Father’s, Ime Udoka, Affair

Nia Long says her youngest son, Kez, is having a “really tough time” after his father, Ime Udoka, had an affair.

According to reports, Ime Udoka, 45, was officially replaced as the head coach of the Boston Celtics earlier this month for allegedly having a relationship with the team’s service manager, Kathleen Nimmo Lynch.

In a new interview, 52-year-old actress Nia Long gave an update on how their 11-year-old son, Kez, has been handling the scandal. She reportedly expressed,

“My only focus right now is my youngest son ’cause he’s having a really tough time. I’m sure I have some things that I’m suppressing, but I have to do that to take care of him first. That’s the giving. It’s natural.”

She added,

“I’m sure I’ll have to circle back with myself several times to reconcile things, but the one thing I’m trying not to harbor is anger.”

As previously reported, on September 22 reports surfaced that former Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka was facing disciplinary action for allegedly participating in an intimate relationship with a woman who works for the franchise’s staff. The relationship between Udoka and the staff worker breached a violation of the organization’s guidelines.

Udoka joined the Celtics last summer after he was an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets. During his first season, Udoka helped the Celtics go from under .500 in January to ending the season with a 28-7 record. He is the fifth coach in the past 25 years to reach the NBA finals during their first season as head coach.

Nia Long and Udoka got engaged in 2015 and share one child together, Kez. Long is also the mother to 22-year-old Massai Zhivago Dorsey II. Following Udoka’s cheating scandal, he and Nia Long called it quits. They were together for 13 years.
