Nicki Minaj Seeking Default Judgment In $75K Lawsuit Against Blogger Nosey Heaux After She Failed To Respond To Defamation Complaint For Claiming Rapper ‘Is A Cokehead’
Nicki Minaj is still waiting on blogger Nosey Heaux to cough up those coins!
If you didn’t know, last September, Nicki Minaj sued gossip connoisseur Nosey Heaux (born Marley Green) after she accused the “Super Bass” rapper of using cocaine and made some disturbing comments about Nicki’s young son.
Reportedly, Nosey Heaux uploaded a video online and said:
“[Nicki Minaj is] shoving all this cocaine, shoving in all this cocaine up her nose. Allegedly. Thank you. Allegedly. But we all know it’s true.”
The social media personality added,
“F*ck… listen! I can’t even say allegedly with that ’cause I, we all know it’s true. I’m not saying allegedly on that. Nicki Minaj is a cokehead.”
Additionally, Nosey Heaux mentioned Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty’s, 1995 conviction of attempted rape against someone by the name of Jennifer Hough. The YouTuber also vilely spoke about Minaj and Petty’s toddler.
She stated,
“Your baby is going to be a rapist, too.”
Following Nosey Heaux’s distasteful commentary, Minaj legally came at her for defamation of character. In her claim, Minaj demanded “no less than $75,000” in damages. In the event that the woman couldn’t afford to pay up, the “Super Freaky Girl” rhymer requested to strip Nosey Heaux of her right to use the trademarked moniker for her brand.
Upon the notion of Minaj’s lawsuit, Nosey Heaux issued an apology, but (of course) that wasn’t enough to take the heat off of her back.
She tweeted:
“During a few of my live shows I made a comment about Nicki Minaj’s son. I was under a lot of stress and pressure at the time. But I apologize for those comments. No excuses. I will continue to fight to clear my name with the help of my team and lawyer.”
Obviously, there wasn’t much fighting done, because (now) court documents are showing that Nosey Heaux has actually failed to even respond to the complaint! As a result, Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, has asked for a default judgment.
After initially giving Nosey Heaux and her crew until October to acknowledge the case, Minaj’s representative was able to extend the deadline to December.
But…according to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Judd Burstein recently claimed that the “defendants have not answered or otherwise moved with respect to the complaint and the time for them to do so has expired.”
In the suit, Minaj’s team referred to Nosey Heaux’s “cokehead” remarks as “false” and “malicious,” claiming they “demonstrate why punitive damages should be awarded in this case.”
Just a few days ago, Nosey Heaux let off a tweet from her Twitter account, indicating that she wasn’t “running or hiding” from anything. Although… no names were called.
