Rapper Maino Claims Viral Footage Of Him Choking YouTuber Was ‘All Apart Of The Prank’

Maino is clearing the air on a recent incident that involved him choking someone.

Earlier this month, the New York rapper was seen choking popular Youtube prankster Buba100x while at an event. Buba100x, who has over 564,000 followers on YouTube, was interviewing Maino when things took a turn for the worst.

During the interview, Buba100x asked the rapper,

“Can I borrow your chain? I can’t borrow your chain? Let me borrow it. Let me put on your chain so I can see how it feel. I wanna see how it feel to have on the chain.”

Maino then replied,

“See, now you just chatting. I gave you your time, now you just chatting.”

Things became heated when Buba100x then asked a seemingly agitated Maino:

“On a scale of 1-10, how badly do you think I can beat your a**?”

Instead of answering the question with words, Maino shocked onlookers by choking the YouTuber. Further  footage showed Maino pinning Buba100x down by his neck while warning the prankster,

“I just told you, it’s not just a stupid video. Don’t play with me.”

Now, Maino is saying the physical altercation was all a part of a prank. While co-hosting on ‘Way Up with Angela Yee,’ Maino claimed he was acting and that the choking incident was a prank that he and Buba100x were in on.

He said,

“So what you see is all apart of the prank…I wanted to make it look real.”

However, Angela Yee and guest host Jasmine Brand had a hard time believing it was just a well-executed joke. But Maino assured the ladies,

“It was all fun and games.”
