Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola Announces Shocking Return To ‘Jersey Shore’ After Decade-Long Hiatus

It looks like MTV’s “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” is about to have a shocking reunion!

The franchise just announced that Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is about to make a return during the show’s sixth season and while much has changed about her, there’s one major thing that’s seemingly stayed the same:

“she’s still the sweetest b*tch you’ll ever meet.”

This was the caption written on the Jersey Shore’s Instagram page that revealed the original cast member was about to make her debut on the show’s spinoff after being off camera for about a decade. The caption was paired with an image of Sammi Giancola sitting in the green screen room filming what seems to be a confessional-esque interview. 

Sammi Giancola also made her own post about her return with a selfie in the same green screen room. She wrote, 

“Okay I can finally say… I’m backkk! ?? @jerseyshore #jsfamilyvacation.”

Fans are very excited to see their favorite “Sweetheart” on screen again. One said,

“If Sammi comes back I will actually lose it! Don’t let me down!!”

Another excited fan responded, 

“I need a date, time and episode.”

 Some even reacted in the comment section of the IG picture by sharing some of Sammi’s most iconic lines from the show: 

It’s interesting that Sammi has decided to return to her “Jersey Shore” roots now that her infamous ex on the show, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, hasn’t been a regular cast member for a couple of years. Their relationship journey was aired for all to see from 2009 – 2012. From their breakups to their makeups, it’s clear the two had strong feelings for each other. However, those emotions weren’t enough to keep them together when they tried to continue their relationship off-screen.

Naturally, after the two officially broke up, they went on to have other serious relationships. In fact, Sammi was engaged to Christian Biscardi in 2019 before they called it quits in 2021. Now she has a new hot beau named Justin May, whom she reportedly got with just four months after her split from Christian Biscardi.

After his split with Sammi, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s first major relationship was with his “Famously Single” co-star Malika Haqq. That ended in 2017 and shortly after he began dating Jen Harley. By the end of that year, Ronnie and Jen Harley revealed that they were expecting their first child together.

The couple welcomed their daughter in 2018 but split up for good in 2019. In October 2020, Ronnie was on to the next one and began dating Saffire Matos. The two got engaged in 2021. However, after a year of being engaged, they too called off their relationship. 

But fans are unsure whether Sammi and Ronnie’s paths will cross again seeing as Ronnie made a cryptic post on March 14. Just two days after Sammi’s return was announced, Ronnie posted an Instagram photo of himself sitting and looking off into the distance. He captioned the image:

“Can’t wait for what’s next ?”
