E-40 Says He Was Racially Profiled & Kicked Out Of An NBA Game: ‘I Was Absolutely Humiliated’
Hip hop vet E-40 says he was a victim of racism recently.
Shortly after footage of the rap star being removed from a basketball game gained traction online, the musician, real name Earl Stephens, says racism is at the root of the situation.
According to E-40, security was called during the Sacramento vs Warriors playoff game this past weekend due to an argument he was having with a heckler. In video clips, you can see the musician being remanded by officials while continuing the aggressive confrontation. E-40 at a certain point seems to even shove security away from him as if he felt the removal is unjust.

Subsequently, E-40 reportedly issued a statement, condemning Sacramento’s security team for allegedly being racially bias. Explaining the situation, E-40 reportedly wrote:
“On Saturday night, I was subjected to disrespectful heckling over the course of the Warriors-Kings game in Sacramento. During the fourth quarter, I finally turned around and addressed one heckler in an assertive but polite manner. Yet, shortly thereafter, Kings’ security approached me, assumed that I instigated the encounter and proceeded to kick me out of the arena.”
And continued:
“Unfortunately, it was yet another reminder that — despite my success and accolades as a musician and entrepreneur — racial bias remains prevalent. Security saw a disagreement between a Black man and a white woman and immediately assumed that I was at fault. I’ve attended countless NBA games throughout my life and have always prided myself in my professionalism, so this experience has been jarring. I was absolutely humiliated by the Kings’ security team and I’m calling on the franchise to investigate the appalling conduct that transpired.”
Reportedly, an eyewitness, who asked not to be identified, confirmed that the woman was in fact a Kings fan and was yelling at E-40 to sit throughout the game. It seems tensions escalated and heated words were exchanged, including profanity, prompting security intervention.

It does not seem Sacramento has responded to E-40‘s allegations at this time.
